In the beginning of 2007 Bob Scheinfeld decided to start using his full first name: Robert rather than the abbreviated Bob.
Was it because he suddenly began to believe in numerology? Definitely not. :-) Was it because he thought it would sound more respectful? Why would he care?
Of course, we don't need to know why, it doesn't have any significance does it? It surely does to him, but what do you care, you might say. All we're interested in is the man's work.
The reason why I mention it at all - besides the fact that some people could be confused about it - is that Scheinfeld felt that Bob (being an abbreviation) symbolized his limited Persona and his limited expression, while Robert (being the full name that he created to begin with) was an expression of his present, much more expanded Persona - the one that has the potential to play the Human Game without limits and restrictions.
To be honest, I tend to be a bit judgmental about people changing names: does it make any difference at all, and what do they expect anyway? Usually I also create certain resistance remembering and using their new names - it just doesn't feel natural.
With Robert however the experience was entirely different. In my consciousness "Robert Scheinfeld" replaced "Bob Scheinfeld" immediately. And he feels differently too. More joyful. More into feelings, less into thoughts. More playful - less controlled.
And of course, non of this is real. It's just another wonderful creation. :-)
This fact Robert Scheinfeld aka Bob Scheinfeld is the first one to acknowledge. He says again and again that he doesn't own his work in the sense that everyone who studies his work creates his/her own version of it. It's their creation, as is Robert himself.
I find inspiration in such reminder of the fact that ownership isn't real and stealing isn't possible - only the Infinite Consciousness is.
The deeper I move into my own Phase 2 the deeper the realization that Robert Scheinfeld (and Bob Scheinfeld) really is my/your creation and that appreciating him is just as much appreciating myself/yourself as the Creator of it all. Amazing...
